# About MotionKit

MotionKit is a small, independent product. It exists because writing animation as code turned out to be a good idea, and most people who would benefit from it are not on the plans where Anthropic's Motion is offered.

## What we believe

- **Your numbers are yours.** A video made from a document should say what the document says. That is why every figure is checked against the source.
- **Your files stay with you.** Documents are read and videos are rendered on your own computer.
- **Say what it is.** This is not Anthropic's product and we say so on every page. The clips on this site are real output, not mock-ups.

## What it is built on

Rendering uses [HyperFrames](https://github.com/heygen-com/hyperframes), an open-source project by HeyGen (Apache-2.0). The fonts are open-licensed. MotionKit is not affiliated with HeyGen or Anthropic.
