Claude Motion pricing, plan by plan
Motion is not sold on its own. It is a feature of certain Claude plans, so the real question is which plan you are on.
What Anthropic charges
There is no add-on price for Motion. At its beta launch it was included for Team and Enterprise workspaces and not offered on Free, Pro or Max. Seat prices change, so we do not quote them here: Anthropic’s pricing page has the current figures.
For a solo user, that means the cost of Motion is the cost of moving to a Team workspace, which is priced per seat and meant for a group.
What MotionKit costs
MotionKit is $19.9 a month for one person (Creator) or $49.9 a month for a team (Studio), on top of the coding agent you already pay for. There is no free plan. The prompt library and the open-source directory on this site are free.
What the subscription covers: the skill pack and its updates, voiceover credits each month, and hosted share links. Rendering happens on your own machine and is not metered.
Which is cheaper for you?
- Your company already has Team or Enterprise: use Anthropic’s Motion. It is included.
- You are a solo Pro or Max user: an alternative on top of Claude Code costs less than moving to a Team workspace.
- You only need one video: neither. Use the free open-source tools listed in our directory.

Questions
How much does Claude Motion cost?
Motion has no separate price. It is included with Claude Team and Enterprise seats and was not offered on Free, Pro or Max at launch.
Is there a free way to try it?
Not Anthropic’s feature, unless your workspace has it. You can make code-driven animation for free with open-source tools such as HyperFrames and a coding agent you already have.
Does MotionKit have a free trial?
No free plan. There is a 7-day refund if the pack does not run on your machine.
