Claude Motion, and how to use it on any plan
Claude Motion writes an animation as code, so a number or a word can be changed without starting again. It launched in beta for Team and Enterprise workspaces. If you are on another plan, the same idea works through a coding agent.
What Claude Motion does
You give Claude a prompt or a document and it writes an animation of text, charts, shapes and images that plays like a short video. It is not a video generation model: there is no generated footage or people.
Because the result is code, edits are precise. Change one figure and the rest stays as it was.
Who can use it
At its beta launch on 8 October 2026 it was available on Team and Enterprise plans. It was not announced for Free, Pro or Max. Plan rules change, so check Anthropic’s own pages for the current state.
The route on any plan
If you have Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, the agent can write the same kind of animation on your computer and an open-source renderer, HyperFrames, turns it into an MP4. MotionKit is a paid skill pack that sets that up: 24 styles, pictures drawn in each style, narration, and a check on every number.
It is not the same product. You work with a coding agent rather than the Claude chat window, and rendering needs Node.js and FFmpeg on your machine.
